Timed Auctions

How Timed Auctions Work.

Maison Designers timed auctions are curated online events for selected authenticated luxury pieces. You can browse lots openly, review the current bid and place a bid after account access.

Simple flow

Browse first. Bid only when you are ready.

01

Browse the auction

Auction event pages show eligible lots, estimates, current or starting bid, bid count, closing time and available filters by department, brand, price and status.

02

Choose a lot

Each auction product page shows the lot panel near the product images, with the next valid bid and the lot closing time.

03

Sign in to place a bid

Guests can see the product and enter an intended bid. Account access is requested only when the client chooses to place the bid.

04

Complete payment if you win

When a lot is settled, Maison Designers creates a WooCommerce pending payment order and sends the winner a secure payment link. There is no automatic card capture in the MVP.

Binding bids

A valid bid is treated as a binding offer to buy the lot if it becomes the winning bid, subject to the auction terms and mandatory consumer rights.

Bid increments

Each lot has a minimum next bid and increment rule. Bids below the required amount are rejected automatically.

Reserve or no reserve

Some lots may have a reserve price. Lots marked no reserve can be awarded to the highest valid bid, subject to terms and settlement controls.

KYC when needed

High-value lots may require identity review, sanctions screening or source-of-funds checks before completion.

Need to know

Auction details remain intentionally clear.

Do I need an account to see prices?

No. Auction lots, estimates and current or starting bids are visible before login. Account access is required only to place a bid.

Can I buy an auction lot immediately?

Auction-only lots are not standard checkout products while the auction is live. If you win after close, Maison Designers sends a payment link.

Is there a buyer premium?

Buyer premium is shown only when configured for the event or lot. If applied, it is added as a separate fee to the winner’s pending payment order.

Is this legal advice?

No. These operating notes and the auction terms must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before public launch or reliance.
