Trading
Source, buy, sell or supply under the Maison B2B framework, with authentication records and Digital Passport documentation available across eligible items.
The sections below set out the professional trading terms that may apply once a B2B account is approved. They are designed to create a clear operating framework for Maison Designers and its trade partners, covering payment, sourcing, delivery, documentation, claims and risk allocation.
Commercial framework
B2B access is separate from consumer checkout.
B2B, reseller, seller, supplier, sourcing and auction-proxy transactions may follow additional written commercial terms. Those terms may cover commission, buyer premium, sourcing fees, authentication fees, payment deadlines, payout timing, delivery responsibility, customs responsibility, claim windows, seller warranties, indemnities and dispute reserves.
Professional status
Maison Designers may require company, VAT, EORI, reseller, source-of-funds, beneficial-owner, trade-account or written authority evidence before treating a transaction as B2B or reseller.
Final trade orders
Where legally available and stated in the applicable written terms, B2B, reseller, sourced, supplier-committed, auction-proxy and custom trade orders may be final and non-refundable once accepted, invoiced, paid, committed, dispatched or performed.
Marketplace commission
Commission, buyer premium, sourcing fees, authentication fees, deposits, service fees and marketplace fees apply under the seller, reseller, supplier or B2B agreement and may be non-refundable where the commercial terms and law allow.
Payout hold
Seller or reseller payout may be held until payment is cleared, delivery is confirmed, return period or claim window is closed, chargeback risk is clear, customs status is resolved and Finance approval is complete.
Chargeback after payout
Commercial terms may require repayment, set-off, reserve use or reversed payout where a refund, chargeback, fraud claim, authenticity issue, customs loss or carrier claim arises after payout.
Evidence discipline
Professional partners must provide product, title, condition, authentication, invoice, customs, packing, delivery and claim evidence promptly when Maison Designers requests it.
Boundaries
Professional access requires professional documentation.
| Area | B2B position |
|---|---|
| Consumer rights | B2B terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights where Maison Designers sells to a consumer. If classification is unclear, Maison Designers should treat the matter as solicitor-review required before relying on B2B-only exclusions. |
| Final sale and refunds | For confirmed business, reseller and trade buyers, there is no automatic consumer cooling-off return. Orders may be final and non-refundable under the applicable written commercial terms, except where Maison Designers expressly agrees otherwise or applicable law requires a remedy. |
| Legal limits | Nothing in B2B terms excludes fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, title obligations that cannot be excluded, or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Exclusions subject to the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 apply only so far as reasonable and enforceable. |
| Custom or sourced requests | Deposits, sourcing fees, authentication fees, production fees, alteration fees, resizing, engraving, restoration, polishing, supplier commitments and special procurement may be non-refundable where disclosed, agreed and lawful. |
| Delivery and customs | Professional buyers and sellers must cooperate with carrier, insurer, customs, VAT/EORI, export, import, sanctions, CITES and re-import requirements. |
| Claims and inspection | Trade buyers should inspect promptly and notify Maison Designers within the written claim window. Late, unsupported, altered, resold, repaired or incomplete claims may be rejected where legally available. |
| Dispute reserves | Maison Designers may maintain reserves or holds for chargebacks, returns, customs claims, authenticity claims, carrier claims, tax issues and seller-of-record review. |
| Seller and supplier warranties | Sellers and suppliers may be required to warrant title, authenticity, lawful source, accurate description, disclosed condition, customs compliance, non-infringement and cooperation with disputes, insurance and law-enforcement requests. |
Marketplace controls
Commercial risk is controlled before and after payout.
Maison Designers may classify a partner as seller, supplier, reseller, broker, affiliate, sourcing agent, professional buyer or B2B client according to the transaction documents and evidence. Marketplace controls may include onboarding checks, proof of ownership, sanctions review, reserve requirements, payout holds, set-off, clawback, reversed payout, chargeback recovery, return evidence and customs cooperation.
