Maison Designers
Auction Terms
These timed auction terms explain bidding, settlement, buyer premium, payment, delivery, returns, customs, Digital Passport status and dispute evidence for Maison Designers auction lots. Mandatory consumer rights are not removed where they apply.
1. Auction format
Maison Designers timed auctions are curated online events for selected authenticated luxury lots. Lot descriptions, estimates, reserves, increments, buyer premium, delivery options and settlement steps may differ by event.
2. Binding bids
A valid bid is treated as a binding offer to buy the lot if it becomes the winning bid, subject to these terms, event-specific terms, order acceptance, payment, KYC, seller confirmation and mandatory rights.
3. Buyer premium and costs
Where configured, buyer premium is added to the winning bid. Delivery, insurance, VAT, duties, customs brokerage, storage, re-delivery, payment and currency costs may also apply and should be reviewed before bidding.
4. Payment deadline and non-payment
Winning bidders must complete payment within the stated deadline. Maison Designers may cancel the award, restrict bidding, retain evidence, seek actual losses or costs where lawful, or offer the lot to another buyer if payment, KYC or provider review is not completed.
5. Delivery, customs and refusal
Winning bidders must provide accurate delivery and customs information and cooperate with courier, insurer, customs, KYC and payment-provider requests. Refused delivery, failed collection or customs non-cooperation may lead to documented courier, insurance, storage, return or re-import costs where permitted by applicable law.
6. Returns and special lots
Auction, B2B, custom, bespoke, sourced-on-request, altered, resized, engraved or specially procured lots may have different cancellation or return treatment where legally available. Nothing in these terms removes rights for faulty, not-as-described or non-conforming goods where mandatory law applies.
7. Digital Passport
A Digital Passport for an eligible auction lot may remain provisional, withheld or non-transferable until payment, delivery, compliance, return and dispute status are resolved.
8. Bid and dispute evidence
Maison Designers may retain bid ID, user account, timestamp, lot page, terms version, payment status, delivery records, customs records, support messages and Digital Passport status to resolve auction disputes where lawful.
9. Compliance and updates
Maison Designers may update timed-auction procedures, buyer-premium disclosure, payment deadlines, customs obligations and dispute handling for future auctions to reflect operational, provider and legal requirements.
